Health Notice

Empower-Me provides weight loss management advice and related content both published over the Internet and provided within consultations. This is intended only to assist clients in their personal weight loss efforts. EmPower-Me is not a medical organisation and our staff cannot give you medical advice or diagnosis. Nothing contained in the website or the EmPower product should be construed as advice or diagnosis. The information provided online and supplied within consultations should not be interpreted as a substitute for doctor or specialist consultation, evaluation, or treatment.

You are strongly recommended to consult your GP or doctor before beginning any weight loss effort or regimen, and to follow any medical or dietary advice they provide. If you already have a condition which requires regular medical checks, and/or if you are taking medicines or drugs prescribed by your doctor and/or if you have been advised to eat a special diet to treat an illness or medical condition, then you must discuss the EmPower program with your doctor before starting the weight loss plan. Examples of such conditions include: diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), heart disease, peptic or stomach ulcer, gallstones, kidney stones, and bowel disorders. This list is not exhaustive.

 

Empower-Me and all associated services are not intended as a substitute for any advice or treatment prescribed by a doctor. It is the responsibility of each Client to ensure that there are no medical reasons why they should not embark upon a slimming campaign.

The website and/or the EmPower product are intended for use only by healthy adult individuals. They are not intended for use by those under 18 years of age, pregnant women, nursing mothers or individuals with any type of health condition. Such individuals are specifically warned to seek professional medical advice prior to initiating any form of weight loss effort or regimen.

The EmPower weight loss and management program is designed for a safe rate of weight loss, which means weight loss for an average healthy adult of up to 2lbs each week.

Before starting to use the plan, you should make sure that you are not underweight. The Em-Power program is not suitable for individuals with a recognised eating disorder (eg anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa).

When embarking on any training program we also strongly recommend that Clients to start slowly and gradually. Always select exercises that are safe. If you experience discomfort, distress or any other symptom whilst exercising please do not continue.

If you have a medical condition which may be adversely affected by exercise you should consult your doctor before following any exercise information given. It is required that each member takes personal responsibility for themselves when doing any exercise which has been advised by Empower-Me or their consultants. If at any time while exercising a Client feels any ill effects then they must stop doing the exercise and it is advisable that they check this out with their doctor.
